This is the perfect workshop for you!  Ro will set you up for success with your new worm bin by demonstrating everything you need to know to get started with your own herd of worms! Ready-to-go worm bins and worms can be made available for purchase on site for participants so that they can get started immediately with the confidence, knowledge, and materials necessary. If you are a business owner, such as a garden shop or a space that is focused on reducing waste, this could be a great way to get folks engaged in your space!

DIY WORM BINS

Have you wanted to try your hand at doing your own vermicomposting? Are you looking for ways to feed your soil while also keeping your food scraps out of the landfill? Come learn how to cheaply and easily create your own worm bin at home using materials you already have around the house!  Worms can be made available for purchase on site for participants so that they can get started immediately with the confidence, knowledge, and materials necessary.

Check out this workshop, which will cover multiple methods for harvesting worm castings and how to utilize them. Harvesting methods include: The Light Method, Horizontal Migration, Setting Up a Stackable System for Vertical Migration, and Downward Baiting.  Worm Casting usage methods include: How to use Worm Castings for Seedlings, How to use Worm Castings for Indoor Plants, How to Prepare Your Garden Bed with Worm Castings, How to Use Worm Castings When Planting New Plants, and How to Make and Use Worm Tea to Feed Established Plants.
